Paul
Expertise: Cold weather, Desert & Jungle
Paul began training back in 1989 and his passion for mountaineering led him to the mountain leader qualification and is a member of the British Mountaineering Council. His extensive hill-walking and mountaineering skills have provided a strong basis on which Paul focused his survival training career. After instructing military courses and leading extensive expeditions Paul has become a leading authority on cold weather climates. Since completing his survival training to instructor level, Paul has worked with some of the biggest names in the survival world including being on the same instructor team as John 'Lofty' Wiseman. Lofty has proved to be a big influence on Paul, which is evident in his teaching style.

Steven
Expertise: Arctic, Jungle, Desert and Temperate
Steve's survival expertise is built on military training, having joined the Navy in 1992. Steve went on to serve in 148 Commando, an elite Reconnaissance Unit, supporting strategic SAS and SBS missions. Steve has used his survival techniques during many of his commanding roles where a number of scenarios demanded self sufficient living.
During his service in the special forces Steve actively trained to an instructor level in many areas including: skiing, combat medic and canoeing amongst others. Whilst Steve has been active in many of the worlds 'hot-spots' his friendly, optimistic and outgoing nature has inspired many to push themselves on our survival courses but in a relaxed and fun environment.

Dan
Expertise: Plants, Wildfood cooking, Navigation over water and land
Dan kick started his outdoor skills when he joined the sea scouts aged 11 and after many years later became a scout leader - finding great satisfaction in teaching. During this time Dan became skilled in many outdoor pursuits including: field archery, kayaking, trekking and climbing. Being a fitness fanatic Dan was also part of the Welsh triathlon team before a serious injury made him unable to compete on an international level. Still looking to help others and keep fit Dan has worked with emergency response groups including CAVRA and mountain rescue. Here at SB Dan's infectious energy, and previous chef training, have breathed new life into wild foods.

Samuel
Expertise: Cold weather, Jungle, Desert and Mountainous terrain.
Sam's passion for the outdoors started when he joined the army in 1996; where he became an Airborne Commando at 17. Sam has gained real survival experience from leading teams during operations and living off the land deep inside enemy territory. He has many instructional qualifications including: mountain leader, map reading, first aid and more. Sam is a outgoing character who always brings the best in others.

Kevin
Expertise: Plants, Botany, Shelters, Communication
As an experienced member of the Scouting association; Kevin was awarded with the Venture Scout award in 2001. Since then he has been on a number of expeditions and survival challenges. Kevin's interests extend into both sailing, canoeing and climbing; he is also an active member of the British Red Cross and a member of the Red Cross Ambulance Team in the North-West. His academic interests include: survival behavior, anatomy and botany.

Jasmin
Jasmin's interest in teaching bushcraft has involved working with children and helping young people. Spending time with Paul and the rest of team has developed her bushcraft skills and teaching techniques. Jasmin has a background in youth work, where her job as an advocate has seen her manage interdisciplinary teams focused on the well being of young people, this allows Jasmin to bring a unique approach to the team. Her understanding and flexible teaching methods compliment her outdoor skills and make her highly approachable.

Frank
Interests: Plants, navigation, shelters
Frank developed an interest in navigation during his youth competing in national orienteering competitions. His present interests include off-road and overland motorcycling - completing several tours throughout Europe. He is currently developing a practical understanding of natural medicines and alternative food sources available in Northern Europe. Frank is also an active member of the Red Cross Ambulance Crew.
